I really hope ads don't get out of control. I can understand ads on television.. 'cuz it is free to watch...but after paying 60 bucks for a game I don't want to be forced to watch ads. It really is all up to gamers to vote with their wallets -- if a game has too much advertising in it, they shouldn't buy it. If there is no protest against this at all than we can expect all future games to be saturated with advertising.

TV is not totally free to watch, you pay for the cable feed (unless you have a dish that can receive OTA).

It IS ridiculous that a game that can make plenty of money by sales and subscriptions alone should try to make more money via in game ads tho.
