Women in gaming: Are you at risk?

JayCat | June 04, 2008 | Blog | Misc
An Editor for Gamefocus.ca discusses the lack of fellow women on-line gamers, how many gamers are not self-identifying as such. What does this mean about the industry? How can we tap into this hidden market?
So, if the reason why I don’t see more women gamers online is because they are typically playing different sorts of games than I am, is this a bad thing? Of course there are women who can hold their own in any FPS game. In fact I know there are lots of women who are better than 90% of the guys out there. That’s not what I am talking about. If most women are playing online games that, honestly until now, I never thought of as being online games; what does this say about the industry?
