Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time

Has Metal Gear Solid 4 had a more subdued release than previous Metal Gear Solid games? Games Equal Life certainly thinks so, especially in comparison to the "big hitters" of the Wii and 360 ...
Is it just me or has Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots not recieved much hype after its release? No, no, before you accuse me of insanity let me explain. MGS4 has recieved superb reviews and will arguably be the game of the year. But that's it. Gaming sites have reviewed it and now gone strangely quiet. There are no blogs on silly Metal Gear related topics, there are no bouts of hysteria from overzealous site editors and there are no top 10 MGS4 lists on Gamesradar. Am I the only one feeling this? The only people talking about the game are fans on forums. Where's the sense of amazement that sites often display after such an epic finally goes on sale? The release of other MGS games were far more extravagant.
Compare this to the Nintendo Wii's hard hitter of the year Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Months after its American release and weeks after its European release and sites are still raving on about it as if its the best thing since sliced bread.

I was watching MTV yesterday, and I swear I saw three commercials for Allstate Insurance in a row...
Anyway, I agree, MGS4 doesn't need any hype. Millions of people bought it and play it. MGS4 is it's own hype.
It doesn't 'explode' for everyone. I avoided most information about the game, and I still play it. I'm on my sixth playthrough, going for the emblems, and still love it as much as my first. That's the beauty of avoiding hype, imo.
really
they had it plastered across the sides of buildings, subways, and anything with a flat surface in japan. :l
