#10: Metal Gear Solid Series (PS-PS2-PS3): Chaff Grenade
They're almost as normal as the lil bombs (aka grenades), as most people must have passed through one or two (all three or even four maybe) of the series's games; but the first time you play any of these games, when you pick the thingie, you think "And what is this? It doesn't even harm foes, and makes the radar go crazy!". It takes a little practice (or a CODEC call) to find out that these wacky bangers are for making cameras and such go crazy for a while, so you don't trigger the alarm. It's definitely the most known of the weird thingies, and apperently, the most "normal", so it barely makes to this list.
#4: Parasite Eve II (PS): Gunblade
Have you ever though you could have a chance to get a Survival Horror main heroine use a trademark weapon of a RPG main hero? Here you are! The Gunblade - the fanciest Final Fantasy sword ever, half sword, half revolver. And Aya Brea has the chance to wield it! Slice the aliens, shoot them at leisure, do BOTH at the same time to make them fuming piles of meat!!! Only in Squaresoft!
#1: Fatal Frame Series (PS2-Wii): Camera Obscura
This one is just beyond words: it's a friggin' CAMERA! And you are supposed to kill the baddies with a CAMERA! HOW are you supposed to DO that?? Are you gonna steal their soul or something?? Actually yes;
Fatal Frame foes are, each and every one, ghosts, and you have to dispose of them by stealing their ectoplasm (or something) taking snapshots (the closer, the greater damage). And you can also benefit from the stolen energy, upgrading your camera! So weird, and you may even not notice it when you play this game!
If you think you saw all weapons you could get in a videogame, see these games! Ah... and for the ones expecting a Worms entry somewhere: Worms has, by far, the MOST and the WEIRDEST weapons ever, but since they're exploding animals, exploding fruits and the like, that's just unfair: this list includes weapons that remotely resemble weapons.

Did a child write this?
tbh, half of the weapons on the list aren't even that weird. The camera and gunblade are probably the weirdest.
I haven't played Counter-Strike in a while, but when was that related to Half Life beyond them both being developed by Valve ?
Grammatical/etc errors:
Moving 'appendixes' (instead of appendages) That would be a bit of an odd weapon >_>
Unexisting (instead of 'nonexistent')
Level-up melee (Leveled up, minor error)
Maybe he used a wonky spell-check and it screwed him over?
Lol, he plays it fast and loose with the term 'kill', about the #1 weapon on the list, the Camera Obscura....Just how does one 'kill' a ghost?
Seems to be a fan of the Worms game(s), it seems. Makes a couple/several mentions of it...Not complaining mind you, just something I noticed.
On the whole, not a bad list. I'm sure there are plenty of more psycho weapons out there....What about the disco ball 'weapon' in the R&C Future PS3 game? Forcing enemies to dance, how is that not a bit odd?
Anyway, I still think the FF camera is the weirdest weapon.
I mean, who woulda thunk it?
And since this is a repeat article, I can see it being deleted at some point >_>
*Gets flamed and thumbed down by GameFAQs fanboys*
I guess you could call them FAQboys.
But i'd never try no kills and no alerts in mgs4 withought chaff grenades. they are really useful, especially against them damn scarabs.
To be honest, there are a lot of weird weapons that should be up there, such as the turnips with faces.
Hello?! The Laptop Gun? The Farsight? The Dragon's proximity mine function? How can you neglect GoldenEye's superior cousin that features a tiny alien that sounds like Grover named Elvis, and a villain that is the spitting image of John Travolta?
GAWD!
