Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
12 hours 35 mins ago
J. Parish of Gamespite.net has written an article as to why he thinks Megaman 9 "may save video games". It's not because it will have super-realistic graphics, or cutting-edge gameplay, or an epic plot that may drown in it's own complexity.
Capcom simply want to make a good game that will please fans, and that is something Parish thinks many game developers have forgotten.
As he said: "The best available technology isn't always the right technology." And while it's good that there are developers out there who want to push consoles further and further, sometimes it's nice to take a step back and have some good ol' fashioned simplistic fun.
Mega Man 9 may save video games.
There's certainly no guarantee that gamers will embrace MM9's regressive design, of course. Maybe it'll flop hard! The important thing is that Capcom's taking the chance, and in doing so sending out a clear statement to the gamers and designers alike: The best available technology isn't always the right technology.

All game series aim to please the fans to some point or another or they wouldn't sell would they?
Mega Man 9 represents a step back from the complexities of current-gen, back to something more simpler and pure.
I couldn't have said it better myself. Gaming doesn't always have to be about the most realistic graphics, or the most realistic AI. Gaming is about fun, pure and simple.
Those were my third favorite games for the PS1 second to RE1/2/3 and MGS1...
MegaMan Legends 3 on the next-gen consoles would own my soul...
now make a sequal to Dynamite Headdy
So what? The 1.5% of people who aren't going to be put off by the graphics are going to enjoy the hell out of MegaMan 9.
Good for them for rebooting their shitty brand(talking about the megaman battle network games. and that awful cartoon series) to make it what it once was. Just don't act like your a messiah of gaming who will return us to happier times. Some of us like what games are doing today. Arrogant bastards.
