Jack Thompson, whom as you all know, is
to be disbarred. I cannot be 100% certain that the article is pure sarcasm, but you do have to admit - if if is not - there are some scary people in this world. (I'm pretty sure it is - for the record)
How dare anyone make fun of Thompson when he’s been going through so much lately. He was disbarred! He was humiliated with 27 misconduct charges! He has failed to bring people to his side over and over and over. He is not well right now. But all you can do is make fun of him. Don’t you guys have any *bleep**** human decency?
Judge Tunis has pretty much no idea what she’s talking about. Thompson totally calls her out in the 14-page letter he wrote after ditching that bogus disciplinary hearing earlier this month. What is it with Thompson getting set up with all these incompetent people? His many statements have always addressed the real issue—opponents who fail to stick to the most fundamental virtues, like heterosexuality! Why does everyone always ignore that?!
Probably because no one else has the *bleep**** guts to remain strong in an unstable world. Most people just do whatever’s popular, but Jack Thompson has stuck to the same conservative beliefs for years. He cares so much, he even sends judges gay porn and homemade picture books to prove his points. Doesn’t that mean anything to you guys?! Twenty-five of the charges for his so-called misconduct were a result of his Grand Theft Auto and Bully campaigns. Now minors everywhere are vicariously hurling Molotov cocktails at cops and hookers and whacking boarding school students with trash can lids, and no one even cares. What are we going to do when flaming, screaming hookers are flailing around on the streets IRL? I’m serious!
Thompson will be unable to practice law for ten years. I hope you guys are finally happy.
He might even be mentally ill! That’s not his fault!! You can’t judge someone by a condition they were born with. Look it up, he meets plenty of the criteria for a delusional disorder of the persecutory type. But instead of giving him the psychiatric treatment he deserves, you people just keep harassing him.
Leave him alone right now. I mean it.

Anyway, the only thing I'm afraid off is that Thompson will become even more irritating now that he isn't a lawyer. Perhaps he won't be able to bring his own lawsuits against companies, but he can still press charges just as anyone else can. Not to mention, now he has more times to go on TV shows like Glenn Beck and convince idiots that his blatant hyperbole and just plain lies are really true. In fact, the Florida Bar may have just created an even greater monster for the gaming industry.
But I agree with it's thing of leaving him alone! So many gamers give him so much of their attention it's like they're obsessed with the guy! Sure a glance every now and then to say "He's at it again? Sheesh" and wag your head will do fine. But if what he says is untrue, what's to worry about unless you think he has a point?
Anyway:
This actually has some commendable truth to it.
Sticking to one's guns is commendable, yes, but not when your arguments are nonsensical....At that point, it is just about being a screwed up, stubborn nut >_>

But, like you said, he's gone way off the deep end on so many things, which makes it even more unfortunate for those who would 100% defend him.
That is just plain stupid, of course there are freaking people that would defend him.
I seriously don't know how you can be an internet forum user and not believe there are any people stupid enough to defend the guy.
