How about "Have the ability to watch porn while in a game" should work well with gamers.

Although a really good thing would be to make ANY full screen app run in windowed mode.

Hey, some people ALREADY do that. Hence the whole "playing with one hand" remark in MMOs; I imagine most FPS games are too fast paced for that sort of multitasking... unless.... unless.....

Some good points; hopefully Microsoft can get it right this time. In addition to the suggestions listed, an Achievement/Trophy equivalent system would be pretty cool. But, more than anything else, make it run nicely. D:

I have Vista and I haven't had a single problem with any game. I don't know why everyone bashes on Vista even though it is the best first release the computer generation experienced.

Because most people have shitty computers that cant run it so blame their problems on the OS and not the crappy computer.

Although it does have some compatibility problems with old games.

My PC has 4G DDR2 RAM, Dual GeForce 8800 GTX cards, an Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme 2.8 Ghz processor, etc.

I have no problems running Vista, though I feel as if the OS hinders the maximum potential of my system when gaming. It just takes up more usage of pretty much everything than it should. I don't regret the day I bought a PC with Vista or anything, it just could use quite a bit of improvement as far as requirements go. Even with Windows tuned to maximum performance, it's one hell of a load for just the OS.

Personally, I like Vista just fine (overlooking the annoying UAC) since I have a PC that can handle it, though I would prefer Windows 7 to be a bit more savvy in its requirements.

While there are a few (count: a FEW) good points in this list, most of it is just rambling from Vista-biased users who have never actually used the OS.
