Did you enjoy all that awesome E3 coverage on TV earlier this month? Looked as fun as ever, didn't it? Now read about what it was REALLY like - no marketing spin, no covering up of embarrassing moments. It a gritty, real, and yes, angry account of the E3 '08 experience, and it ain't pretty.

You can keep E3 and you can keep LA, I won't be going back to either one anytime soon. Hopefully, the rest of the industry will follow my lead. Now, if you move the show to Vegas and bring back the booth babes then I'll book my flight right now. At least if the show floor sucks I can go blow my life savings on Keno!

This isn't news, it's just sad blogging.

The city feeling boring? - Individual created situation.
Hotel reservation issues? - Hotel or online booking problem.
Fallout 3 demo broken? How does holding the X button = broken?
No one heard about the gears 2 folley? uhm last I heard it was the biggest joke of the show.

This is more of a rant if anything, objective viewpoints were completely ignored. The ESA didn't make your hotel reservation vanish just as it didn't make your planning for the time in LA fall apart or never come together to begin with. There are things you can blame on a show as a whole and then there are things you can blame on a company alone. The ESA didn't do the Microsoft presentation, Microsoft did, but it's all too common that people associate the two as one and the same.

It would be nice to see people actually report on the show and the events in reasonable manner instead of these attempts at being "underground"

WTF kind of assessment is that? I'm aware the misinformed writer will never read my remarks, but that won't stop me from venting.

    (1) I live in LA, and LA probably doesn't like YOU. (2) I bet E3 wasn't too fond of you either, now get off the freaking bandwagon. (3) A business convention in VEGAS. In the SUMMER. Where's the flippin' logic in THAT?! (4) Booth babes? You're just getting desperate now.

PS, that photo in the article is the wrong side of the convention center. E3 was on the other side.

I've changed the category from News to Blog and labled it under Misc as well. But yes, this is an opinion piece and is more blog-ish than anything. As with all opinion pieces everyone has their differing opinions.

Hmm... I hope the writer knows that E3 has always been in LA and nobody ever complained before.

Well, I can understand disappointment followed by venting, but I think this guy's just bitching about nothing, really.

The Fallout 3 Demo comment is, for lack of a better word, stupid. He's pissed that the controller had to be reconnected with the 360?.....

The whole thing about Konami's music game, again, stupid. He complains that someone failed to play a song on the game properly, that they can play perfectly in real life? I don't think that those games are meant to be Instrument Simulators, so i'd imagine playing the game is quite different from playing a real instrument. Maybe I'm just crazy.

The author seems like the type of guy who yells at a pizza boy for bringing him a pizza with extra pepperoni, instead of extra cheese.

He just needs to suck it up.

    Christ....

    Subjective and nonsensical blog banter.

Nothing new or newsworthy. Sounds like dude had a bad time and wants to blame someone else for it.
