Starting August 15th at 6PM CST, TheSpeedGamers will be hosting a event called "Metroid Marathon" to help raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, who aim to cure sick children. The marathon lasts 72 hours.

The "Metroid Marathon" will consist of nine Metroid games, including Metroid, Metroid Prime, and Metroid Fusion. If you want to see all of the games that they are playing in order, hit the source.

In addition, TheSpeedGamer will also be offering prizes for completing a specific game. The prizes range from a Metroid Prime NES cartridge and NES controller to a Metroid Prime GBA cartridge. In order to enter to be eligible for the prizes (excluding the Grand Prize), you need to "send an email during the game thats being played for that said prize."

Last but not least, the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is a copy of Metroid Prime 3 for the Wii signed by the current employees of Retro Studios, the creators of the Metroid Prime series.

The 72 Hour Metroid Marathon starts on Augusts 15th @6pm cst. We will be raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The marathon will be streamed live via webcam on our website. The webcam feed will give you both a view of the games we will be playing and also a view of the action going on in the room. We will give out prizes following each game to viewers regardless of where they live.

      Why not Silver Mirror, a lot of people do that by themselves with games and then buy the sequels to do it all over again.
