Why Microsoft's XBOX 360 Will NOT Outsell Nintendo's Wii

SlapStic.com retaliates against an article by seekingalpha.com writer Bruce Everiss, which many found to be simply ridiculous. SlapStic provides a different perspective on the topic with this article.

Last Monday, seekingalpha.com posted an article by one Bruce Everiss, who claimed that the 360 is destined to outsell the Wii, despite the fact that the system has done the complete opposite of that since day one. He also made claims that the "XBOX 720" would be out by next November, and that the console is gaining a foothold in Japan, both of which are pretty much ridiculous.

While it's easy to simply point out holes in Bruce's logic all day long, instead I've decided to jot down some logical reasons that the Wii will outsell the 360 by a mile this generation. I don't really like the Wii MORE than the 360, and I own both. I've just accepted reality, unlike some fanboys. So here's how it'll REALLY happen:

    to be honest my Wii broke a month ago. I did nothing about it, until today.
    
    When my 360 RRoD'd I called the next day and got that shit fixed. I couldn't wait til' it was better. Since my Wii has been gone the only thing that concerned me was that If I got twin snakes on Gamecube I wouldn't have anything to play it on.

To be honest...a whole article on this was never necessary in the first place. The Wii outsells both consoles by a shitload. The reasons WHY it outsells both consoles is pretty obvious, all you really had to do was show a sales chart, be naturally skeptical, and brush it off.

Why you got worked up over some dude's "prediction" of sales is beyond me. I mean, not to point fingers but with behavior like this, its pretty hard to take your "I have no bias" at face value.

  I don't think I got "worked up" in the article. I just responded to Bruce's. That's what's great about the internet. It allows extremely public conversations.

Because there are more casual gamers than hardcore, That's the only reason.
But the 360's rep is defenetly getting better in Japan.
