Why you SHOULDN'T buy Wii Music

Gothic Girl | September 17, 2008 | Blog | Wii
We all watched Nintendo's E3 conference (with a little shock and embarassment on our faces) when Nintendo announced their next biggest project - Wii Music. So should you buy it? Alex Riviello of chud.com doesn't think so ...
Simple as this- if you contribute to the (sadly inevitable) sucess of a product that pushes Nintendo further away from making anything of interest to gamers, I'm going on a rampage. I'd sooner they went back to making playing cards than see them reduced to this.

First off, it's not a game- it's a music simulator. You pick from a group of songs (that contains such classic and knee-slapping anthems as "Yankee Doodle" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star") but don't actually hit notes, you just freestyle them with the remote and nunchuck. I don't know what the hell Nintendo's doing- the main factor in Guitar Hero's success was that it made you feel like you were actually playing the instrument. Only weird Air Guitar players could possibly get into this, and hell, it might even be too close to handling a real instrument for comfort.

The other big question is what the *bleep* is up with the Midi sounds in the game? They couldn't even record the real instruments for this?

Well, can honestly say I didn't need someone else to tell me why I shouldn't buy the pile of crap. LMAO

I'm not much into casual games, but if Miyamoto supports this, then I support it too.
That doesn't make me a tool or anything, alright? I just happen to like music. And Miyamoto.

Actually it makes you a tool and follower tbh. Fact is, listen to all the Wii Music Advertisements, the so called "Game" Is a piece of trash to put it lightly.

Well sarcastic gamer put it in better insight why the game sucks. This hasn't changed much of anything.
