After having a conversation with his friend Allen about trying to convince him to play the recently released MMO called Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Adam LaMosca - who writes for The Escapist - lists all the reasons why some people are just not attracted to MMO-type games, such as his friend.

Allen and I have been gaming together as long as we've been friends, which amounts to about a half-decade now. We've logged dozens of hours in tactical shooters and co-op action games. We've followed each others' progress through epic single-player RPGs like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. We've lost entire evenings to Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

But Allen won't play MMO games. Not for anything. Never has, and maybe never will.

I don't like MMOs either. I just don't get them. I normally play RPGs to get away from people, and not have to deal with a bunch of idiots.

I never really enjoyed playing MMOs as well. They just never appealed to me.

I know I said before that I personally didn't like WoW, but you know, after talking to a few members im friends with who plays those games, I've come to realize I was wrong about it. That also due to the fact I technically never played it before.

I love MMO's, one in particular was Final Fantasy XI game for the PS2. God that game was epic. Wish there could be another one for the PS3.
