Developers are starting to consider the PS3. It turns out, the Xbox 360 isn't dominating the PS3 right now. They're actually at about 50:50 for developers. Could the PS3 turn the tide of the battle in 2009? Or could the 360 overwhelm the it with waves of games instead? Well, we'll see the battle rage on in 2009, but remember that in this era of gaming. The consoles balance each other out, unlike the PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox in the last generation.
As it stands right now though, my observation reveals something very positive about gaming: that the playing field is even and were about to enter a period of great, top quality games across both formats. Although I am sure the fanboys amongst you can flame that idea to cinders in seconds anyway well go on then

If any console is dominating at all it is the Wii. It has trounced all the competition from day one.
It'll quickly stop eventually.
From a developer stand point when they are looking at their own sales potential they are looking at the raw numbers. How many users own this console today and how many can be expected to own one on release day. Obviously you simply can't expect to sell more games than their are consoles to play them on.
Which is why the 360s full year lead attacts more developers. It is also why developers are willing to throw trash on eh Wii for a quick buck. When you have so many people jumping on the Wii Bandwagon you can't not sell a few copies. Throw something cheap and easy together in a few months and make a quick tidy little profit. Developers with no respect for the gamers or their games love it.
But for the PS3 and 360 I can see combined over 60+ must own titles for the system.
As far as im concerned, the Wii is only dominated in console sales, but aren't being played enough. Many Wii owners have stated they're fully bored with the system and haven't touched it in awhile. Until the Wii actually gets some good games, and not make stupid games like Wii fit and Music, that is when I think otherwise for the Wii. But right now, I just see the Wii for an excuse for developers to slack off and don't put enough effort in games for that system.
But now the field is starting to level out a bit and both consoles enjoy a plethora of gaming paradise, so it's all good.
But I like how you just label it pure shit because it stated 360 was dominating the ps3, I'm sure if it was the other way round you would be hailing it as truth and parading the author as a man of sense.
Call me crazy, but you're constantly trying to contradict people who dislike the 360...(btw, if you reply to this, don't expect me to answer; I'm not getting into any arguments).
Actually Im an Xbox360 fanboy through and through lol. I own all 3 granted, but it gives me the most enjoyment and strongest lineup, thus I benefit more from it, thus me liking it more.
But I dont like this whole "dominating" ideology between two machines, with a year seperating the more successful one at this time. Its a stupid comparison and such ideology should not derive from this factor.
Im a gamer for the game, not the console. As such, i give credit where it is due. But yes, I have been praising PS3 lately, purely because they have shown me some great stuff for the future PS3experience for me. Thus, I offer compliments.
[sarcasm] Also, I wake everyday with the sheer intent of being an asshole on the boards so people like you can waste posts asking why I conduct myself in such a manner. [/sarcasm]
I lol'd
