Graphics in RE5 at TGS '08, are they suspect . . ?

An interest find by one authour regarding the opening scene in Resident Evil 5's recent TGS '08 Video. Claims of poor graphics and use of older assets as well as incongruences were apparently there. You'd need to read the article to understand and judge for yourself.

An interesting pick up if it is true . . Check it out.

I am as excited for Resident Evil 5 as any of you, it will probably be my Game Of The Year for 2009, and as March is quickly approaching, the excitement has been building. Then I saw the latest TGS Resident Evil 5 trailer from TGS '08 . . .

When I saw the opening of this new trailer I honestly thought I was seeing a flash back to an older PS1 game, perhaps a earlier Resident Evil title done in HD (like the MGS1 flashback in MGS4). But no, this was Resident Evil 5.

I was shocked at the use of the "X" cut tree's that were made famous by Grand Theft Auto 3. The gravel road was all jagged and stood out like a sore thumb over the blurred grassy texture and trees. Something was terribly wrong with that scene. After replaying the video, I hear wind, but I see no trees move at all either.

_{Not really an issue. When the game gets gold, im sure everything will be fine. Besides, RE5 is looking good which I may purchase at one point. Definitely going to rent it and play.}

The graphics look great, imo.
Even next-gen titles have a few patches of crappy texture or flat backgrounds, but if the other 99% of the game looks great then who cares?

Really I see it, but it's just so tiny and blends perfectly.

Besides Capcom said there willing to do what it takes to make it the best looking game out there, and look how quickly they changed Sheva's voice.

Just point out the complain and capcom might take care of it.

Besides the game looks goergoeus anyways.
