Getting the most out of your system is always a gamers goal, but on the newer generation consoles sometimes there are a few goodies that you don't encounter. techradar.com describes 7 wii tricks that you may not have known.

The more complex consoles become, the more weirdy-beardy secret functions are squirreled away inside of them, and Nintendo's latest is no exception.

While most of the Wii's Easter Eggs are specific to certain games - there's a whole trove of 'em in Wii Sports alone - here's seven of the best for the console itself.

About number 3, Mario is not wearing red and white when you download something. He is wearing red and brown. When "Mario" wears green and white, that's Luigi. Didn't you even play Super Mario Bros?

Thanks for clearing that up Deathsythe. And Big A2 if you read the article there is no criticizing. Every console has tips and tricks, this just highlights a few of them you may not have known. No harm done dude.

Oops, my bad, I used the wrong word there. I was thinking of something else. I'll fix it.

Anyway, you did make it seem like you wrote it.

When you download software, you get one of three NES Mario Sprites, regular Mario in red and brown, Super Mario, who is twice as big, and Fire Mario, who is red and white, and shoots fireballs.

Some of these are pretty interesting and I've never really thought about them before. I know another one you can do. Apparently, in the DJing software, Deckadance, you can use a Wiimote to simulate the vinyls.
