Since there aren't really any decent games coming out for the PSP EVER, SlapStic.com takes a look at some other possible uses for the device. As it turns out, it's a very... flexible... machine.

4. Umbrella

Everyone has bad days. On days like this, the PSP is always there for you. Sony's device can protect you from the most extreme weather conditions. It's also very handy as a shield for your face whenever an earthquake comes along, or for those pesky SARS outbreaks.

What little credability and respect I had for your little site has now been diminished. Do you even have a PSP, or know whats coming up in the future? You'd be quick to withdraw the article then no doubt. The PSP has taken massive strides and is fast becoming my favourite device.

God Bless the Internet. Even the most braindead prick can write an article.. Worst article ever.

Normally I smile and can understand humourous articles and websites. Yet this time . . . I couldn't even crack a smile for this one Sorry.

Oh, and I think the UMD launcher thing would only work on the phat, since you have to manually open the slot for the slim? Either that, or you are one very talented person

Since there aren't going to be any decent games for the PSP anytime soon (as if there ever have been) I've decided to make a short list of uses for that steaming hunk of metal taking up shelf space in millions of suckers' homes.
Sorry this has to be one, if not, your worst article ever made. There's plenty of good games coming out and is out for the PSP. This article isn't funny at all. Just made me think of fanboys taking shots at the PSP which is the only handheld to date even competing against Nintendo. Sorry my PSP or PSP in general isn't useless.

So you take this piece of satire written for a site called "slapstic" in a section called "funny stuff" (the URL even naming it "ridiculous-stuff") that details the good points of using a PSP as an umbrella and a hat as complete and utter serious journalism?

      IRONY

I never said anything like that, I was just showing my distaste for an idiotic article. Im aware the site was for sarcasm, like sarcastic gamer, but that wasn't funny. Im surprise you didn't post the same thing under Seeker's post?

You took it seriously, blatantly by what you said. And I didn't post it under his because Seeker wasn't claiming a serious thing in another article to be a non-serious joke, hence the irony part

Why don't you stick with Nintendo? Seriously? It's like the only system you really know about.

I signed up purely to comment on this idiotic "article".

My PSP is a GPS. I use it to communicate on Skype. I use it to remotely program PlayTV on my PS3. I use it to stream TV and video from my PS3. I use it to playback MP3 and videos directly from the device itself. Not to metion the fact that I play some great games on it.

This is all on the official firmware. If you use CF then it only opens the device up more.

By comparison the DS is a toy for children.

I thought this would be a joke about the psp 1000 since 3000 came out but none of this makes any sense. The PSP has established its self as a great hand-held counsel and is a major competitor against the DS.

Since I'm not a Sony fanboy, don't take stuff seriously, and am in a good mood from playing Mother 3 over the past week, I found this hilarious.

Even though I dont own a PSP, and generally I get amused at things easily, I didnt think this article was very funny. The only thing that was remotely "funny" was the dancing guy at the bottom of the page =/
