An article about the possibility of a Led Zeppelin game being better than an all-star line-up of Beatles songs, in a Beatles game. Blend Games writes that it would suit the nature of the game better.

I actually like the Beatles better than I like Led Zeppelin. I think the Beatles just had a more diverse vision of where music could be taken, and they definitely took it there. If you don’t believe me, just listen to all of the records between Please Please Me and Abbey Road to see what I mean.

Well duh. It doesn't take a moron to realize that. I'm sure it would have happened already if the band would allow devs their master tapes. Maybe now that The Beatles have jumped on the Rock Band wagon, maybe now Zeppelin will too.

I agree that Led Zeppelin would be a better fit, but they're somewhat infamous for not giving the rights to their songs in movies and such. I doubt they would be interested in a game.

I really want to see a Van Halen game though. I might be biased since they're like my favorite band, but I honestly believe they would make a better game than anyone. The only band that might be better suited is Metallica, due to their wide variety of music, but Activision is already making a Guitar Hero game for them.

I would prefer a track pack in Rock Band (not interested in paying $60 for just one band) but definitely agreed. I already hear the parodies in my head when playing the originals anyway.

That would be pretty awesome, on April Fools Day, make a bunch of songs free, but when you download them, it's the "Weird" Al Version.

I wouldn't mind playing "Nature Trail to Hell" or "Whole Lotta Lunch" on Rock Band (those are actually real Weird Al songs by the way).

Of course Led Zep GH would be better, simply put The Beatles' guitar parts aren't really anything tough to play.

Um? While My Guitar Gently Weeps ring a bell?

The whole song is just trade off solos between Eric Clapton and George Harrison - explain to me how it wouldn't be tough to play?

It doesn't matter if the song is just a trade-off of solos if all the solos are slow-paced. Songs like that just aren't hard in a Guitar Hero game. Your average Guitar Hero player could easily get 5 stars on a song like that on Expert mode.

Well I'm sorry that I don't believe that all new Guitar Hero songs have to be metal.

I appreciate metal as much as the next guy, but the Guitar Hero series, hell the whole genre was pretty much spawned off of classic rock.

Back to the roots I say.

I'm not saying that they all have to be metal, I'm just responding to the fact that you said "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" would be hard, when it really wouldn't be. A song like that would actually be a pretty good fit in a Guitar Hero game, it just wouldn't be all that hard. That's sort of the whole point of the article though. People won't be satisfied unless the game is actually challenging, and a Led Zeppelin game would be closer to that than a Beatles game, therefore they believe Zeppelin would be a better fit.

You know they might have a song or two which deserve a position at GH... but nothing more. Led Zep has too many songs more than Beatles that deserve a GH place (even though i like Beatles better).
