After news came that Mortal Kombat vs DC was going to be edited, sadness fell upon gamers thinking that the game was actually turning out to be not so bad. It seems now Europe has no reason to be sad. Click "go to source" under the description here to see animated gif of Joker's unedited fatality that we won't get to see in North America.

In the original version, the Joke pulls a joke pistol and cracks up when a little "Bang!" flag comes out instead of a bullet. Then, with the victim confused as hell with what's going on, he pulls a second gun and shoots his opponent for real.

But they wanted the game to be rated T. So along with the other soul-selling changes they're making to Mortal Kombat, they edited the fatality so that in the American version of the game, the loser walks off screen as the Joker laughs about the fake gun, and we just hear a real gun, leaving the brain-blowing to our imagination.

That fatality is awesome, I dont see why it needs editing! A tiny little bit of blood, maybe its the whole "Gun to the face thing"

      Bullshit, anyway.

Regardless, the amount of gore ( if there is any ) in this MK game is pitiful compared to other 3D MK games.

Well, we always get censored games, but when you North Americans get just one, you go crazy.

It depends what rating they want to get it here. Unedited: MA, edited: M.

I don't mean to sound spiteful or anything, but damn it's nice seeing other countries getting their games censored for once.

Yes but im sure you're not going to get an unedited version either, so you shouldn't be gloating.

Anyway im only pissed cause the fact there is no reason to edit that bit. The most idiotic reason I've ever heard.

Why wouldn't we get the unedited version? The whole reason it's being edited in NA is because they want to make it suitable for 13 year olds.We are just like Eu in the fact that 15 is our lowest rating. So why would we get the edited version?

If Eu doesn't get an edited version, there's a high chance we will also get the unedited version.

failblade, you say there is no reason to edit it, yet there is a reason. I know English probably isn't your first language (and your difficulties with English may be the cause of this confusion) but which is it?

I don't condone any video game censorship in ANY country, and I encourage others who see it to speak with their wallets just as I will do with this game by not getting it.

I agree with you, I think censoring games in any place is ridiculous. But with that said, I just don't see AUS getting the unedited version.

About time the people of USA got screwed.

Then again, I doubt Aus would get an unedited version -_-

Why? We have never had any problems with MK being released here before so unless Midway decide they want our version to be rated M15+, I don't see any reason why we won't get the unedited version.

But regardless I'm sure PALGN will find out if we get the edited version or not in a few days.

i just dont get what midway is thinking. Give the fans what they want first(A true MortalKombat game on the 360/ps3) then experiment(this dumbass idea for a game).
Any chance they add some fatality DLC?
