With 2008 coming to close, many are wondering - "What console had the best exclusives", of course the true answer to that is based on what kind of games you like, and in many cases, what console you own, however the method which SecondStoryGamer use isn't a bad one at all.
Taking the Metascore Ratings of the exclusive games, and then working out it's average. Note that all results are as at November 20th
For gamers, the new year usually begins after mid-November and this years no different; pretty much all major console exclusives have been released. So, this is the first time that we can actually look back at 2008 and see which console had the best exclusives for the year - the PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii.

On the other hand they included Haze and Wii Music for the others so it balances out at least.
My friend is totally obsessed with that game. Joked that he's gotten more of a Gamerscore boost from it than Orange Box.
Also:
Perhpas hated was a bit to strong. But it was definitely a love hate sort of thing with that game. But on top of the IU wasn't even one of the biggest or most hyped games on the 360. It was just sort of there. I can understand including Haze since it was hyped to death and then ended up sucking.
But the lists should have some sort of conformity. Like the 10 most hyped games on each console. Or the 10 highest scoring. These lists just seem like they picked 10 random games from each console. Which is fine in the respect that it give a random sampling of what is available on the console without seeming to show a personal bias. And it helps that they came out pretty even. But the choices seem a bit suspect and leave plenty of room for argument.
Wii Music...
Mario Kart Wii...
Animal Crossing City Folk....
Hrrmmm such a hard decision for me.
That wasn't enough to get Microsoft over the line?
Only decent game that came out for PS3 ALL YEAR was Little Big Planet for gods sake -_-
You're an idiot.
If anything, MGS4 should 'suck' for those who haven't played the series at all, though from what I witnessed, it only brought in more fans.
And no Fable 2 and GoW2 wasn't enough to get the 360 over the line. Fable 2 scored an 89 mostly because reviewers felt is was more of the same. And GoW got a 93 good but not great. But MGS4 and LBP scored higher with a 94 and 95 respectively. Hell SSBB and World of Goo both scored higher than Fable 2 and GoW2.
Aussie asked why they weren't enough to push the 360 over. And the reason was because their combined scores were lower than the PS3's top two games combined scores. In fact they were lower than the Wii's top two games score as well. It is just that the lowest scoring games on the lists scored higher overall on the PS3 and lowest on the Wii. It is simple math and has absolutely nothing to do with how I personally feel about any of the games.
double wtf? Isn't that DLC?
Hardly anything these days is exclusive, if a company can make a dime somehow, they will do it and regard the consequences later. Look at Beth Soft, they are shoving PS3 and Sony away for Microsoft bucks, then again god knows what Sony is playing out these days
Because hardly any of the 360's exclusives go to the PS3, only ones that i see that the 360 has lost were the ones that were set to be timed exclusives already.
360 should have won this, it has a much bigger list of exclusives and the list of exclusives on the 360 are much better than that of the PS3s. We all know the scores on metacritic are complete bull anyway ; ;
And i'm not saying the PS3 isn't good, im currently enjoying MGS4 on it myself atm which so far is an amazing game.
Funny thing is, Take out Infinite Undiscovery and add Lost Odyssey instead and the 360 has already won it. Infinite Undiscovery was a horrible pick.
Well handful yes, but still the exclusive gap isn't as big and people are making it out to be not to mention it can be argued the PS3 has some top quality exclusives out there.
