I spent some time musing with the editors here in the office to talk about Kojima's cryptic message and what this may mean for the future of the franchise.

Of course, with a new Metal Gear we know that the series long time protagonist, Solid Snake, probably won’t be the hero this time around. At the end of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots he is in retirement and possibly, you never know with Kojima narratives, on his way to the grave. Otacon’s final comments to Sunny was a poignant reminder to long time fans that Snake has gone above and beyond the call of duty and needs to rest. LET HIM REST!

Not news, that is why I tagged it as "blog" and said "commentary", not submitted as a news item.

You should see the other pictures took of him, along with the weird looks we gave each other over me begging for Policenauts 2 on the PS3 w/ the original Policenauts finally translated for western audiences also on the disk (like he did with subsistence including MG and MG2: Solid Snake)

I just played the demo for MGS4, it was pretty good. I am new to the series as I also bought the 3 pack as well.
