A Next Metal Gear: Decoded

Recently there was a picture put up to do with the next metal gear. hardcasual.net has been "busy at work" attempting to figure it out.

So what's the result? Well they decided it's an anagram, coming up with three rather humerous solutions!

But we've been doing our detective work here at Hardcasual, and for us, that means sitting back and thinking "What would Ghostwriter do?" And we think we've figured it out - "A Next Metal Gear" isn't just broken English. It's not another sign that perhaps Hideo Kojima may not have the best grasp on how to put a sentence together, let alone an epic narrative. No, in all the genius that is Kojima, he's constructed... an anagram.

        I think theyre pointing out the nonsensicalness of the original image. I mostly enjoyed it.

    I don't get why people rate up articles like this. A terrible article gets enough rates for the guy to get points? That's unbelievable.

      People are interested in Metal Gear. Though it's not funny but immature, it still carries a laugh value.

        You yourself said it was not funny, how can something not funny carry a laugh value? Not funny = no laugh. No laugh + no useful information = bad article. Right?

          If you haven't laughed at something that's not funny for not being funny, then your humour doesn't spread very far. Funny is a broad term, something doesn't have to be funny to get a laugh there's many factors.

          Or perhaps your idea of humour is flawed. This is not funny in any way, either as a genuine attempt or in a self-referential viewpoint. It's a useless article.

          Regardless of whether someone finds it funny, it doesn't mean it's not bad humour.

    haha same Gothic Girl, however the article is self is pointing fun at the 360 fanboys automatically associating the colour green with the 360 (which to me means the 360 gamers need to stop playing if everything they see green is suddenly something to do with the 360 )

    The Salami reference bought a smirk to my lips mainly because when you actually look at the original image, it looks like two salami with the end cut off.

    The others I have no idea but like I said above, I am guessing they are poking fun at the automatic responses of everyone thinking Metal Gear is going to 360.

    Personally still think good ol' Kojima is playing a publicity stunt but hey, hardly anyone listens to that crazy guy in the corner until he says "I told you so"

    This is a quote from mk, who replyed to the article:

      Lol the one lucssj said was funny........to some extent..... funnier than this crap article.

      It's obviously on neither of the 3 consoles.

      If you take a look at the equation ! + i = @ you'll notice a something with the ! and i.

      Why the 2 exclamation marks??
      How is it that most comp. can only do an upside down ! using the i?

      Clearly the i is the real factor in all of this.

      The !-phone will hold the next metal gear.
