An interesting blog entry about why has LittleBigPlanet fallen off peoples radar. This is not another one talking about terrible or great sales of LittleBigPlanet but what seems to be the lack of interest.

Teach a sackboy to make a level and he'll play for... well, an additional day. Or so it seems.

I'll be honest. This post is apt to be all over the map. There's so much that could be said and yet so little that has been said about LittleBigPlanet that I'm at a loss for where to begin. I've been trying to hone my thoughts on the game into something bloggable for more than a month now, but a recent post by Michael Abbott got me teary-eyed at the thought of little neglected sackpersons crying from loneliness. I even had a nightmare dream two-nights ago of walking into a store and seeing new copies of LBP selling for $8 (the horror!).

So for the sake of some kind of organization let me break down this discussion into three open ended questions:

#1: Why has LBP seemingly fallen off the radar?
#2: Is it possible to have truly "community made" levels?
#3: Should we think of LBP as more "toy" than "game"?

This keeps up and LBP will be the next Haze joke.

Has there been ANY good news for PS3 owners this season? It just feels like every time something good happens, something worse follows it.

The good news is that I'm playing good games, and my PS3 was money well spent. It's easy to take constant shots at the underdog. It doesn't make any of it valid for us.

If it wasn't for all those damn kids wasting space with their trophy levels LBP would be doing fine.

I think its more the system which needs to be tweaked. Trophy and points levels need to be deleted, as well as a easy way to access new levels needs to be added, as well as a cleaner way of moderating things.

Trophies and points have nothing to do with the topic, and if you don't like them, then don't play them. LBP would be doing fine if it weren't for those levels taking up space? That doesn't even make sense.

Trophy and point levels have nothing to do with this topic? There are dozens of those levels pushing back well deserving ones, no matter what I search within 5 pages I always find at least a few tropy and point levels, all highly rated. I really don't think they are the kind of levels Media Molecule want taking up server space.
