OXCGN opens its new section, Parents Play, with it a look at a huge list of games the family can all join in on this Christmas.

The list is extensive, ranging from cheap XBLA games, Disc based games, to current release disc based games . .Hope on over and check the listing out with a helpful list of pros and cons on each game.

A nice new section that we will be exploring in 2009 is family gaming. As well as looking at the games we as parents can share with our children, we will also explore issues relating to online behaviour and how to navigate the increasingly adult-focused game world with our children.

We believe that being involved in video games with your child is not only the bonding fun experience of playing together and relating to their interest, but also the best way to educate yourself to better understand the content of the games they play. Just as with the Internet, film, or TV, being involved allows you to make the decisions you believe are in the interests of your child more accurately
