LittleBigPlanet Metal Gear Solid 'Level Pack' Includes 5 new levels + MORE!

Not only will LittleBigPlanet receive a Metal Gear Solid Costume pack, but it will also receive a MGS 'Level Pack', which comes with all that is mentioned below all of the below too!

All of this is coming to the NA PSN Store on the 23rd of December. The costumes will cost $1.99 each or $5.99 for all 4, whilst the 'Level Pack' $5.99 too. And the best part is, that you don't even need to own to the levels to be able to play them!



  • First off, you'll get a new Sackboy costume… the Gurlokovich Soldier.

  • Plus tons of new stickers (72), materials (12), decorations (10), and objects (18).

  • Our Premium Level Packs include new Story Levels and they’re filled these new objects. That’s because, Media Molecule teamed with Konami to create 5 new Story Levels and 1 new Challenge Level for you to enjoy.

    Now we couldn’t just build a level using the basic tools above, we need music, new sound effects, and new elements to provide a true MGS experience. So you’re getting these in the Level Pack, as well:

  • 1 new background music track
  • 3 new interactive music tracks
  • 1 new Metal Gear Solid themed ‘sound object’
  • New Plasma Ball ‘danger element’
  • New Laser Sight ‘gadget’
  • New functioning Searchlight lamp – for those special ‘exclamation mark’ moments

  • ..and finally, the piece de resistance…THE PAINTINATOR (and Paint Switch)

  • Add to all that, there are 12 new Trophies to unlock (and if you pay attention to the story at all, we’re not a big fan of Trophy Levels).

      I can safely say that this will be the first LittleBigPlanet DLC that I buy!

      Paintball gun is worth it in itself. =P.

      I hope Square Enix do something similar with the FFVII DLC, but I have my doubts.

      I'm sure this will, this to me looks amazing, and I thought Media Molecule were only going to release costumes.

      Can't wait for Resistance, Killzone, Final Fantasy and other franchises to receive such packs.

      so we have to pay $12 to get all the costumes and the level pack?
      I want the level pack but a $1.99 per costume or $5.99 for the lot is ridiculous. it should be $5.99 for the level pack and all the costumes, or .25 per costume.

        $5.99 for the 'Level Pack' is a steal considering what you get.

        I know what you mean about the costumes though. I'll probably buy Snake, but I'm not all too fussed about the others.

      This is some of the best news (in my opinion) for LittleBigPlanet. I will definately be buying these seeing as i am a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, and the new costume's and level pack are fantastic. I have waited so long for the Old Snake sackboy costume and now its nearly here. The Raiden, Meryl and Screaming Mantis costumes are brilliant. Lets hope this is the way forward for the DLC for LBP. Hopefully the Killzone 2 DLC will be in the same format. Instant Win!

      Totally seems worth it

      Looking forward the the (must happen yes?) FF VII pack too.

      Dunno when/if I'll actually get this pack though....Need to get back into LBP -_-

      This seems worth the price. I have MGS4 for PS3 and I am starting to like the game.
