A 1UP.com forumer known as "kielbasa" has been trying to replace his Wii's old ATI graphics card with a better one, which should bring his Wii up to 60fps. Even after he is being presented with plenty of evidence that it will not work, he continues to persist.

How would you like to give your Nintendo Wii a hardware boost? All you have to do is rip out the console's video card and replace it with a more powerful model. It's obvious that this will instantly crank the Wii's visual output quality to 1080p. This is so simple that I don't know why it hasn't been tried before. Somebody has to be the first to make history, and apparently it's this optimistic person who goes by the name "kielbasa" over at the 1UP forums.

I say good for him, if he can make improvements despite what others say then all the more power to him. Then perhaps Nintendo could try it?

The graphics card in Wii consoles are SPECIFICALLY made for the Wii. It's going to fail.

Since developers will not code specifically for this guy's console, I doubt it will help any. Man, if your that desperate for HD, just buy a 360.

Ummm, I'm pretty sure he's going to be disappointed >_>

Even if by some miracle he gets it to work, and work well, all he'll get is smoother graphics (less jitter/flipping)....The games won't look better, the just might run a bit better during periods of high load...

But that isn't going to happen, it'll just bust his console permanently probably >_>

    He's obviously just a troll.
You can't just solder wires to your PCIE slot to some spots on a Wii motherboard and instantly expect it to work.
