They all had some decent reasons, such as timing, budget, and focus. Then of course there's what most gamers would say: To make room for a sequel. I'd say that they should try to get a team to focus on the ending, make something new, creative...doesn't have to be too long, and as one of the developers mentioned: Some great game endings have no narrative.

I understand that there's time and money involved, and developers usually focus on gameplay or graphics or something else...but damn, they should try to make it more well-rounded. Some mention the experience is what happens when you're in control, sure that's quite important, that's what drives us to keep playing, but so does a good story. Meh, there's no easy way out of 'lame' video game endings, especially now that companies are heading into debt...make due with what we have I suppose.

It's really hard to find a decent made ending these days. MGS4 is the best ending that I've enjoyed so far, and R2's ending is the best cliffhanger I've seen in a while.

I thought the game, overall, was a little above average, but also pretty fun.

The ending of Gears 2 was horrible, like you said. It was very sudden and left you feeling extremely disappointed.

And that boss fight....wtf? I won't give anything away, but I was extremely disappointed with that. It looked so badass, and my immediate thought was, "I can't wait to fight that!", and it ended up being, literally, the worst boss fight I've ever experienced.

People say it was meant to be an "Interactive-Cutscene", but I don't care. In fact, if that's the case, then I'm even more disappointed that the developers wanted to half-ass things, and practically cut out what could've been a great boss fight, but the decided to make it an interactive-cutscene.

It was an extremely disappointing game because of that. It was fun the first time through, but that's all, for me, at least. I played through Gears 1 at least 20 or 30 times, and I've played through Gears 2 about one-and-a-half times...

Skorge was lame, RAAM would be so upset with him. I've never played an easier boss in my life, especially after playing RAAM in Gears 1 who I found extremely difficult.

I like how in your profile your banner is bashing the 360, of course you would think Gears 2 is terrible. Not to mention you even live in Japan. Fanboy scum.
