Ever since PlayStation Home was first announced in January 2007, people have been calling it Second Life for the PlayStation 3. We take a look at what separates these two very different virtual worlds.

Having been immersed in Second Life for the better part of two years now, I first ventured into the virtual world due to the initial impressions that PlayStation Home was a clone of the popular online community for the PlayStation 3. Now having spent a significant amount of time exploring what PlayStation Home has to offer, I decided to take a look at how wrong or right those initial impressions were.

    Not bad. About what I figured TBH (and no, I haven't tried Second Life. I knew to get anywhere, you'd have to spend money, which isn't my thing).

    I mostly use home as a conveneint way of chatting with other people on my PSN

          Gamegrep, from what I've seen and know, doesn't like comments like this. As I said it adds little to nothing to the article at hand. All he did was bash two things. If you're going to comment at least talk about something to do with the article then flame two Social Apps.

    So you mean to tell me that all of this time all the "Home/Second Life" shit that has been going around is just misinformed and just plain bad opinions from idiots and insecure fanboys? Well this certainly is a revelation, I'm just going to sit down and think about it...or I could just laugh my ass off.

      That's hardly a talking down, I expect more maturity from Red then his response which literally adds nothing but instigating flame wars on this article.

      Xenc on the other hand is excluded cause he used a smiley which could definitely be seen as a joke. But by all means continue your poor excuse of trying to find things I say to make it seem I contradict myself. Just makes you look sad more then anything.

          I only stated that about Xenc cause smileys are used inplace to say you're joking. Hence the whole purpose of your thick smiley.

          Red: Jeevan is Xenctuary. And red, believe it or not, gamegrep is a business as well. And I severely doubt anyone wants to see posts which just trashes two things and starts flame wars(and talks nothing about the article itself). Which was the sole point of me stating I expected better from you. You know the rules, you should act mature on this site and Neo and should definitely know that stating things like that is really unacceptable for this site. It's not about me trying to be your parent, but trying to point out your mistake here. By all means PM me and continue this, cause tbh, I genuinely don't feel for a site which holds an image of quality should allow comments like this. This isn't 4chan ok.

    Home in my opinion is lame, but it can be somewhat useful and fun if you have a bit of time to spare. And yeah, Final Blade contradicted himself bad-style there
