Edge-Online has made it their mission to list the most promising upcoming 2009 titles for each console. This week they are starting with the Nintendo Wii, a console that has recieved a lot of flak lately for it's abundance of shovelware and lack of good 'hardcore' titles. So will the same stigma follow the Wii into 2009? Maybe this list will change your mind? ...

Youre not alone if you feel a touch spoilt by the sheer mass of compelling software that has been released over the past two years. Mario Galaxy, GTA IV, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3 and the Orange Box are but a handful of fantastic titles that peppered the 2007 and 2008 release lists. Can 2009 repeat the same feat?
We start with the Wii, a console recently suffering from an identity crisis following Nintendos E3 no-show. Blistering sales figures aside, 2008 was a weak year for the consoles software catalogue. The fortunate outcome of this, as the following list will show, is that publishing companies and their PR teams suddenly have a newfound opportunity in pushing core gamer content on the console; a trend that will hopefully develop in the years ahead

I wonder what the PS3 has to offer.
Mario Tennis will be so awesome . So

Killzone 2
God of War 3
InFamous
Heavy Rain
Resident Evil 5
Street Fighter IV
MAG (Massive Action Game)
White Knight Chronicles
Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams

Probably a few more notable titles I missed. Certainly the best lineup in my eyes anyway.
It looks like Gears of War meets The Running Man meets Evil Dead =|
Its jut a game slapped together with added blood to make the "Hardcore" Wii owners happy. (So about 6 Wii owners then.)
