Lynk Former of twilightlynk.com blogs of their dislike of the the Nintendo DS alarm clock feature. I sure hope someone buys this person a proper alarm clock because if you're "so afraid of hearing it in the morning that I literally wake up every few hours" then you have some problems at hand.

I don't know what kind of sick experiments people have run to determine the most annoying sound to use to wake people up in the morning, but the Nintendo DS has by far the most annoying alarm I've ever heard.

I remember hearing people talk about this before I got my DS -- then when I heard it I had no idea what the big deal was. People are insane.

I used it once and didn't think it was that bad. I personally use my iPod though since I like hearing DragonForce when I wake up.

Lol, loud music alarms are the best.

Especially if it is going to be songs. Imagine what is next, MP3 player for Nintendo?

I've used the DS Alarm Clock in the past. More or so when I actually got the thing. I didn't find it bad at all. It actually did help me get up in the mornings. It wasn't to loud and not annoying. It was great. But now my phone wakes me up when it rumbles against my nightstand.

*Tries out the alarm clock to see what all the fuss is about*

OK, so it is a bit weird sounding. And it gets louder...

I guess if your were half asleep, it might freak you out...

I wonder, assuming you had a full charge, how long would the DS last in Alarm Clock mode? And also, does leaving it in the clock mode potentially harm the screen? I mean, the hour number would stay in the same spot for an hour, which can't be good >_>

I am going to continue using my regular alarm clock. It is louder (and plays music), and I actually have to get up to turn it off, which gets me more awake

I used to use the alarm, it's not much different to many other alarms I've heard, it's a little on the quiet side but it still gets the job done!

I use my phone alarm clock because I love waking up to the Batman theme from the 60s, haha.

I find it odd that someone would even use their DS as an alarm clock though. Seems....odd.

A waste of battery. A DS is a game console not something to wake you uo

It still comes to use if you don't have an alarm clock. Not to mention you can always keep it plugged into the wall when you use the alarm.

Twice? That's it? haha I thought snooze was invented to give you at least 30-40 minutes of extra, broken sleep before you actually have to drag your ass outta bed.

yeah i would like to hit it more, but i set the alarm for 30 mins before i have to be at work at 8, so at 7:30 i hit it and keep hitting it and usually stay in bed until like 7:50, get dressed super fast and run out the door. and whats funny is im only ever 5-10 mins late to work.

The same could be said for most alarm clocks, I don't why they just can't play some tone which doesn't make me shiver inside.

I've used it, and it didn't work. I had it on full blast and right by my ear and it didn't wake me up. No fault's of the DS, though. It would be good when you're on trips and you take a nap and have to wake up in a few hours to reach your next stop, but to be used as a normal alarm clock is a bit of a waste.

It isn't bad at all. >>

I used it a few times before and I don't know why this person doesn't like it. :l

Oh and if you don't like it, then simply don't use it? Invest in a REAL alarm clock.

I have this clock in my room that uses the radio for alarm as well as regular alarm. It has the unusual blue color light for the numbers, instead of the traditional red, or occasionally green.
