Owen Good of kotaku.com discusses Pure White Nintendo DS that is signed by Miyamoto currently up for bid. He discusses some other examples, bringing up the question of authenticity.

Interesting, because McWhertor also got his Triforce-themed DS signed by Shiggy. The cartoony OTO signatures on both match up. So that either verifies Mikael's story, or it suggests that if Miyamoto signs everything stuck in front of him, maybe this is rare, but not like $2,000 rare.

I have a DS signed by the Regginator and I don't think it's that valuable. Unfortunately it's a DS Fat though. :/

Reggie's signature would put me off buying the DS.

My mate's got his last four E3 passes signed by Shigeru Miyamoto. He gets him to do it after Nintendo's press conference every year!

I really like that signature, even if the signature was fake it's still a nice thing to have

I wouldn't mind having one of them (including Reggie's) just for the sake of having them, if I didn't have to pay an exorbitant price for it.

Me too, I love collecting things just for the fact they're a collectible and will have a nice value to them.
