Eidos recent announced it came up $20 million short on its predictions for Tomb Raider: Underworld, and was left talking to its lenders with cap in hand.
Today the games giant in looking at Lara Croft with a critical eye, and has suggested she might need a 'female friendly' makeover to recapture her fans. Here are Pocket Gamers suggestions for way Eidos could update Ms. Croft.
Eidos is looking to make Lara Croft more 'female friendly', and if there's one thing females invariably adore it's Pride & Prejudice, Jane Austen's smouldering story of sisters who want to marry rich men so that they don't have to work for a living.
So, the Lara Croft of the future could be a woman who runs around the countryside killing bandits, getting married, working in a bar, and farting for laughs until she accumulates enough fame to marry a gentleman.

Yeah I have a feeling they will give Lara a darker past. There's always been a few unanswered questions both in the games and movies...not a big fan of Lara myself but hey she was created in my home town so got to cheer the lads on XD
I can't believe it didn't occur to them that they might sell more copies of the game... if it was more fun, and wasn't just a re-hash of all the other Tomb Raider games.
And Lara doesn't need a new image. In fact if they hired a full-time breast physics modeller and Lara's character spent the entire dumb next game in a bathing suit, I'm sure sales would go up at least 10%.
I always get her mixed up with the girl in my avi, her name is allison sudol
