Gran Turismo 5 still is a ways away from being released, but can it possibly match or exceed expectations sales-wise from the previous installments? Each full installment has sold at least 9 million and Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec sold just shy of 15 million. However, GT5 is not alone, because Forza 3 is also set for release as well later on in the year.

Add car damage and more customization options to go along with the amazing graphics and the list of cars/tracks plus the perfect racing sim engine already, and I think you might have the best racing game of all time.. But if they just toss out another GT with pretty graphics and more cars, ill still buy it but it won't meet my expectations or any1 elses.

I'd have to agree. I'd also potentially like to detail the cars (not Need for Speed-esque, like change the paint job, run dynos on it). The in-car view was fantastic, so I really hope they add that to GT5 as well.

Add damage and a controllable powerslide system (I struggled) and this game will be worth buying a PS3 for.

If you want controllable Powerslide, get Grid, NFS anything like that. GT is a sim, therefore, powersliding would be hard.
