Jim Sterling of destructoid.com blogs about the sexual side of things present in our video games. From obvious to just down right weird, his list of names has it all. It brings up the question, sub or dom?

(Warning: Source does contain slight sexual content)

I am sure that everybody, at some point in their lives, has been playing a videogame and suddenly found themselves questioning the sexual preferences of the characters involved. Ultimately, one finds one's self asking the final and most pressing question of all -- is that character a dom or a sub?

You know, it's possible that they just don't have sex, because they're characters, and they do what ever who created them wants to, which is not have sex.

if something cant have sex, it doesnt have a sexuality.
    what Big A2 said.

But they can have sex. Just because they're in a video game, doesn't mean they don't have a gender. And there is sex in video games, so I do not understand what you mean.

This article is a waste of time, he comes up with the wildest non sensible ideas that is just a huge stretch of his imagination. Not one bit worth reading.

lol, sephiroths is great. Just overall completely funny. But the rest of the article was so messed up. The guy made simple little things sound like that means the guys gay. So that means that if i eat a banana like donkey kong all the time, now I like dicks? WTF.

This was a rather odd thing to read. Somehow I knew the tetris thing was coming from the beginning...

Why is Captain Falcon not on this list?

This is more pointless than a top ten list. It's basically a bunch of characters, an alternation between the words dom and sub, and pictures.

This article brought up way too many disturbing images in my head. Especially ...

    quote
Pikachu is Ash Ketchum's special best friend, and by that I mean Ash has definitely smeared jelly on his little hairless balls and made the furry yellow bastard lick it off.
I'M NEVER GONNA BE ABLE TO GET THIS IMAGE OUT OF MY HEAD NOW!!

But then I felt a little better with this paragraph ...

    quote
Wesker strikes me as the kind of guy who can't even get a semi-on without having strangled something first, and who can only orgasm upon hearing a pelvis shatter. He's a real sadist, none of that furry handcuff bullshit. He'll use real cuffs, and the cuffs will be covered in red ants. And broken glass. And on fire. And you'll have a guitar neck up your arse too. The guitar neck will also be on fire.
    Lol.

... but then I went back to being disturbed again. >_>

Wow . . . sounds to me like the author of the article is definitely a bit of a sexual addict---who feels the need to sexualize otherwise "innocent" (yes, I use that term loosely) things in video games. The fact that he uses the terms "dom" and "sub" show he's got a bit of a fascination with fetishes.

He shows in this article that he was the little boy who . . . did and thought of unmentionable things . . . when playing with his video games. Then, sadly, all his friends would not join him in this. This led him to feel ashamed (and rightly so!) and go into hiding his feelings he would not give up. However, behind the anonymity of the internet he can express his true feelings. Yet still in fear he poses it in an article that he knows many will jest about and take lightly, as though it's nothing more than a joke. A dirty joke.

This shows the author is a sub. A fearful sub who instead of dealing with these issues he has, hides them and releases them only in forms he knows he can be safest. "Oh, yeah, ha ha, yeah that um . . . was a good um, joke wasn't it? Funny stuff. Yeah haha. Um. . . yeah"

Good for a bit of a lol, but meh.

Amusing that the person had the balls to write some of that stuff, and publish it on a well known site.

Funniest article on gaming I've read in a while, and yes its quite obvious the author is a sub, since he's willing to do anything to please others

this is bullshit man. this is like people who watch children's programmes and say that this character or that character is homosexual. It is quite absurd, they are fictional characters. When you start doing this, you know there's a screw loose. In more ways than one

      Dark Arcanine Feb 15, 09
Actually, you'd be surprised what is present in children programs these days.

I don't think i would be, I'm not easily shocked BUT, you gotta ask, how MUCH of that is actually there, and how much of that is simply imposing something thats not actually there, over the innocence of the program and characters?

Like bert and ernie man. I never once thought they were a gay couple when I was growing up watching sesame street, I dunno where that idea spawned from. As a CHILD, I though that these were two best friends with a never ending sleep over, like brothers.

I gotta agree with you there. I think there's SO much that is just from the minds of adults who are like nerds telling dirty jokes. Like gay spongebob. Talk to the creator and you'll be told that there's NO absolutely NO gay spongebob. It's just in the minds of people who want to sexualize everything.
