PSN to SEN: Time to rage quit? - DarkFeed

With both Sony and Microsoft getting hit by the economic crisis and losing to Nintendo's Wii, OXCGN explores if the next console from both could be a joint venture.
With the current economic crisis worsening and with Nintendo happily counting its blessings (and money), perhaps the old adage the enemy of my enemy is my friend is something both companies may eventually consider.
What if Microsoft and Sony were able to co-operate and form a new gaming-only focused company, each holding equal shares and influence?
What if, instead of planning Xbox Next or PS4 they banded together to create a PlaystationX console, the greatest console collaboration ever?

The author is posing the question ' what would happen' if something like this happened. And there's many an article in main day media composed on such ideas.
The idea has been tossed around for some time actually, and even Denis Durak of Too Human fame has said the same thing more than once.
The articl;e is aimed at raising debate on the subject, not stating fact or making wild accusations, simply asking you, as the reader, to consider such a thing and make constructive comments on it as an adult would.
9/9/09 I TELL YOU!
9/9/09!!!!
You look at the PS2, then look at the PS3, and tell me that Sony didn't miss the bus somewhere.
Anyway. As much as I like each of the consoles, I would actually hate if the consoles got together and made one console. I like the separate designs, and features.
HOWEVER! What I would absolutely love (and have talked about in the past how they should definitely make it) is if they each made their own consoles, but their consoles could also play the other console's games! They would have their own individual designs, and features specific to their console, but their awesome games, could still be played on the other console (and vice versa). The companies would still be separate, but they'd be . . . slight friends working together to play each other's games.
What happened to your grammar and spelling there at the end of your comment, Slumpy?
EDITED: You also missed the majority of my comment there and focused on 2 sentences . . . Did you have anything to say about my comment overall?
