SlapStic.com writes a response article to a recently published article by GamingFront.net, and refutes their idea that Rare is "creatively bust." Read here for the full story.

The thing about these newer games is, they don't have mass market appeal. The characters are usually incredibly cartoony, which throws off adults who would otherwise fall in love with the games if they gave them the chance. I recently ranted on my Twitter about how under-rated BK:N&B is. I'm also a HUGE fan of Viva Pinata. Plenty of people will agree with me that both of those games are a totally addictive breath of fresh air.

I don't see how they're creatively bust, Nuts and Bolts was an incredibly creative game. It just wasn't traditional Banjo.

What a broad and generic thing to say. Traditions are born from creativity, simply going against the grain doesn't mean you're creative. It takes more creativity to follow your own visions regardless of tradition or anti-tradition or trend or anti-trend, and if you do that you're gonna see you end up with a new tradition.

most rare fans seem to have this 'i really only like rare as much as i do because i kinda feel sorry for them' thing going on. articles that basically say "hey, i think rare is still relevant, guys!" make me laugh.
