With Nintendo already having released three 'New Play Control!' games in Japan, as well as the first entry into the series, 'Pikmin', in Europe recently, the team at Cubed3.com has written an article on what other GameCube classics should be revived for this Wii range.

Nintendo has already released two games from its 'New Play Control!' range in Japan, with both GameCube versions of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, Mario Power Tennis and Pikmin not only being re-released on Wii, but coming complete with various changes to make them more appealing for the new wider audience that Nintendo has so far attracted. Other games due to launch under this revamped range in the coming months are Pikmin 2, Chibi-robo! and the two Metroid Prime games from Retro Studios. But what other GameCube classics should be added to the roster and how could they be modified for Wii? The Cubed3 team sat down and mulled over some of the prime contenders, including a few gems from publishers other than Nintendo...

Eternal Darkness PLEASE! That would really be a title that would attract attention...but I guess the fact that Silicon Knights is now with MS might make that impossible..

Nintendo makes enough money to make new games instead of going back to the gamecube. I don't need to waggle my gamecube games

Gameroz, Silicon Knights isn't with Microsoft - it merely struck a deal for the Too Human trilogy (which may never happen now after the first game didn't meet expectations).

Dyack's always positive about the idea of another ED, so I guess it's just up to Nintendo to make the first move since it holds the rights to the IP.

Legend of Zelda; Four Swords Adventure and Legend of Zelda; The Wind Waker. Apart from them I'd probably say Killer 7 as well.

I'd definitely love to see Zelda FSA and FF Crsytal Chronicles added, using DS-Wii link-up...would be fantastic!

Oooh, not too sure about Melee. With Brawl, plus Smash 64 on VC, wouldn't it be Smash Bros. overload?

I see many Brawl players say "Melee > Brawl" (Hell, I'm one of them) and I think Melee on the Wii would answer all our prayers.

As long as it includes online. Then it's brawl gone perfect.

Fair point. Would make sense from the point of view of fans then, definitely. I reckon this year, after Chibi-robo, we'll see Luigi's Mansion most definitely. What else, though, I'm unsure - 1080 or F-Zero?

Hell yeah. But who cares, that would be smart.

Super Mario Sunshine. I'm sure they could figure out changing the controls for that.

Remaking SSB Melee for Wii is an awful idea, it works perfectly, right now on a Gamecube disk, why would you want to ruin it with motion controls?
With the Wii's full backwards compatibility, very few Gamecube games need to be remade.

You don't know do you? Rofl noob.

      BRAWL HAD NO MOTION CONTROL

        Noob?
Did you even try Brawl with the Wiimote? Go look in your game manual.
Motion control was in there but was pointless and awful. Almost everyone uses the Gamecube cotroller.
So it would be equally pointless to port Melee to the Wii. I don't see how some people can't seem to understand this.

Shake smash isn't too much motion control. Melee is wanted for wifi.

Wifi? You want Nintendo to ruin Melee with their awful, awful Online service? Have you even played Brawl online?
Ok whatever, your opinion, but it's never going to happen on the Wii?

    I agree with you there Livewire wifi would be crap. ;.;

Yes I have played wifi, and I don't see you on Neoseeker so you wouldn't know what I do with Brawl.
