This interesting blog outlines 10 of the more interesting boss battles provided by video games over the years. Whether they all coincide with your picks or not, the list does provide an interesting look into what makes a boss battle special.

I love boss fights in video games. Everyone looks forward to them, and they usually provide some of the funnest/hardest/most memorable bits of any game. They also usually have the best music, best cutscenes, and in general, they're a blast to play. But what makes a perfect boss battle?

Well as I said, great music helps a lot, and there has to be a perfect balance in the atmosphere. You have to be enjoying the fight, but at the same time be scared out of your wits that you could die at any second. So here are my picks for boss fights that are easy, hard, memorable, or just fun.

    I can't believe the battle with Liquid Ocelot from MGS4 wasn't in there

    the Hydra from Spartan: Total Warrior was an Alright battle, but the battle with the God of War Ares at the end was more epic, i couldn't even hit him for 10 minutes(he's really fast and strong)

    I understand this list is one of opinion and not every as the same opinion (obviously),

    BUT: Not having Solid Snake vs Liquid Ocelot at the end of MGS4 makes this list shitty! It was the climax to a plethora of engaging titles in the MGS series, and totally deserves a spot on the list!

        Solid Snake one-on-one fighting against Liquid Ocelot atop Outer Haven concluding one of the greatest game series of all time to the music of the 4 main MGS titles complete with slow motion bits that make Morpheus cream is not epic? R U srs ?

    About as epic as them deciding to have a game of slow motion tic tac toe instead, I found the Rex-ray fight much more like what i was expecting tbh

    God of War could pretty much have a whole list to itself.

    First off, this isn't news, this is someone's blog. Secondly, he stated that he didn't own a PS2, so it's not surprising if he didn't own a PS3 either. Thirdly... this is someone's freaking blog and not news at all, so what's the point of it being on GameGrep? I can do this myself and have more credibility because I've owned more consoles and games, but it should be left as my own blog post, like this was.

    Ah yes, Giygas From EarthBound, That was pretty fun, The whole "You kill Giygas" thing? You cannot comprehend the true form of the game's awesomness.

    But if you ask me, The Masked man or the Porky statue from Mother 3 should be there too.

    I've come to the realization that if the people who criticize this person for making a shitty list were to make their OWN list, it would be just as criticized. It's just an opinion people, no need to get mad at him.
