I've been asked to start blogging again - a major undertaking given I have no time for anything other than showing the world how awesome UGO is deep down inside, and gaming. Not to mention I have a terrible habit of stream-of-consciousness writing without making the effort to proof read, or spell check... yeah, I'm supposed to have a grad degree. *shrug*
That said, I am unfortunately a fanboy. A fan boy that, from time to time, likes to engage in the silly x vs. y forum debates. Last night, on a fan site dedicated to StarCraft I saw a post that called Warhammer a copycat. Being a Taurus, that was akin to flashing a red flag in front of a bull. "Copycat? THE NERVE OF THOSE WETNOSED KIDS!"
Rather than enter a forum debate on a pro-blizzard site that would have resulted in an epic fail on my part and potential major embarrassment, I ate my pride and saved my rant for work today. The results are below.
Who cares about twisted Sarah Kerrigan or the Terrans? I have the real space marines with the bad ass Blood Ravens! Screw the Protoss, everyone knows that the Eldar can kick their asses. The Zerg are nothing but roaches of the Tyranids... and give the Orks credit for not going extinct and being a thorn in the side of damn near everyone in the universe. WAAAARGH! I'm not even going to mention the terrifying scurge of the Necrons, or the C'tan. The Warhammer 40k universe did OD (overdose) on the number of races, but they added a certain level of uniqueness that set 40k apart from the rest.
