1UP's Robert Ashley delivers this list of games to help designed to help those struggling through these tough economic times, make the most of their time... especially if they have more of it.

So the global economy is taking a giant dump, and your job is among the waste. Your house is worth less than you owe the bank. Your town/state/country is bankrupt. Big banks are rolling in your future taxes. Meanwhile, you couldn't get a loan if you offered a shylock your ring finger up front. Times are tough, but you can take comfort in this undeniable fact: Never in your life have you had so much time to game. Sure, you could use your time on the unemployment dole to take some classes and improve your skills. You could use this moment for personal reflection, unplug the cable modem and simplify your life. But really, you can do all that stuff inside the loving arms of some non-judgmental interactive entertainment. And it feels so right!

"You've been saying you're going to play Psychonauts for years now." "You keep sliding back into Burnout Paradise like a drunk falling off the wagon."

Crap, this article was speaking DIRECTLY to me One day when my income is better I'll buy up a bunch of older cheap games and run through them, Psychonauts included.

Psychonauts is a great game! Highly recommend it. Didn't get the sales or attention it deserves - almost like Beyond Good and Evil - great games that were woefully underappreciated.
