    Five things gaming sites should stop doing;

    5. Being bias and hoping the 'controversy' brings traffic.
    4. Stating the obvious.
    3. Being arrogant.
    2. Basing reviews on public opinion and/or hype.

    And finally, the one relevant to this article;

    1. Making lists of things that:
A.) Have been listed a million times
    or
    B.) No-one cares about.

It's ironic how idiotic you comment is. It's impossible not to have any bias whatsoever.

I'm not saying it is possible to be completely unbiased you moron, but when sites like OldWizard make articles entitled 'Wii FTW, PS3 sux', that's what I mean. When people be overly bias for the sake of kicking up a fuss and getting hits on their website. How you perceived that remark as me expecting anyone to be 100% fair I don't know, but if you're going to talk about irony and idiocy at least spell 'your' right =\

    1. Sonic still has the potential to make a good game. They may have to do a Megaman 9, but it can be done.

    2. I haven't played a Mortal Kombat since 3, so I can't really comment.

    3. I'm sort of swithering on this one. Activision have said their going in a new direction with the next one, I say let them try and if it sucks or is as uninspired as recent titles then it should just die out.

    4. Nop.

    5. lolno. The recent Tomb Raiders have been good... very good in fact. It's just a shame that people can't get past the fact it sucked on the PS2.

Things get made for a reason.... Making lists as to why they shouldn't (and shitty lists at that) won't do much.

I think Sonic will make a comeback soon, after the Sonic and the Black Night game at least anyway. Unleashed was great, it was just the werehog side of it dragging the game down for a lot of people. I can't say that I didn't enjoy it but, they were a tad too long.

Guitar Hero should stay kicking in my opinion. Why? Apart from the fact that I'm enjoying World Tour? Well, let's just say that being an Aussie, I don't appreciate still being unable to go to EB Games or GAME or even Gameplanet to actually buy the damn game called Rock Band 2. Seriously, my local GAME shop still has a whole pile of Rock Band + guitar boxes sitting in the middle of the shop as if it was brand new! North America has had RB2 on the 360 since September and Europe since November. Since it's still not here in March, and since we still don't even have a release date, I'm on board with GH. Boo Rockband! /rant over.

Yeah, I know that there's always imports but we shouldn't have to. Seriously, it's the principle of it all.

    1. Sonic - yes (nothing beats the classics)
    2. Mortal Kombat - no (still holding strong)
    3. Tony Hawk - yes (too old and out-dated)
    4. Guitar Hero - yes (lets face it, RB cleans up your mess and does what you try 10x better)
    5. Tomb Raider - no (not as good as the PS1 days, but getting better with each new installment)

i would say Guitar Hero should stop being made, as Rock Band is 100x better, however with no competition, that could possibly make RB not as good in the future. Rock Band simply needs Guitar Hero so that it has something to kick the shit out of. and besides, Guitar Hero Metallica? desperate much?!

as for the others, Tonk Hawk i would say is the only one that just needs to die completely.

All but Guitar Hero are correct.

To me all Rock Band has over GH is more songs and more character customizing. GH has the better Fret system which means better game play. Sure GH failed with the drums but that doesn't matter much since they thought ahead and made the RB drums use able on World Tour. And so what if their making spin-offs at least their picking good bands to make spin offs about. I mean would you play a game called Guitar Hero : Michal Jackson......well somebody would but i'm not going that far into a rant.

the guitar frets are all a matter of personal preference. you cant say GH has better frets cause some ppl (like me) like the Rock Band guitar frets better.

As long Nintendo continue making quality Mario games, they should continue.

The last 2 Mario's I played (Galaxy and NSMB) were excellent and I'm looking forward to their sequels.

The only one I feel I can actually make a comment on is Sonic. I feel the latest additions have been good and that it's the older games I like less, so I don't want to see that series knocked off. Though I know Tony Hawk has been going a very long time, so it should stop too because I highly doubt they can produce anything original, not that skateboarding really can be anyway.

I noticed Final Fantasy wasn't on that list? Must have been an error or something... I mean, i'm sure we all realised it had to be in there, right?

Tony Hawk is perhaps the only gimmick so far that's managed to live the longest.

Sonic... I'm still praying. They've *bleep*ed it up pretty nastily, but hopefully they'll get him back on track. Although I must say, with the upcoming Black Knight game, I presume it will just be fad after fad.

Guitar Hero... oh, please. Guitar Hero is an amazing game, just like Halo. The only issue about it is that some people would kill their friends and family, and their pets, to defend the game. In reality, the game is fun.

Tomb Raider... I have no experience with the game, so I can't say.

Mortal Kombat... sure, I won't miss it. Seems like it's really being milked out at this point, and I haven't had much fun with the series in general.

Sonic-Meh, it wouldnt really bother me if they stopped making games, but thats not saying that they should. I would really like to see a new side scrolling sonic game, but of course thats not gonna happen.

Mortal Kombat-sad to say I have never played any of these games, so I cant say

Tony Hawk-Ok, I can see this ending. Theres more than enough out there. Although I do like the games XD

Guitar Hero-I love guitar hero, but if they keep making them with lousy songs then yeah, they should. While I hate rock band, mostly because I hate the guitar controller, I cant get used to the weird strum bar, rock band 2 seemed to have slightly better songs on it that World tour. I dunno, but I only liked about 5 songs out of all the songs on Wourld tour. But then again, I only really listen to classic rock (70s metal and 80s hard rock/hair metal), and the majority of the stuff on there I havew no interest in. They should continue to do Single Band ones instead of making any new "variety" ones. Of course most people will disagree with me on that one

Tomb Raider-Again, no experience with this

I think the Skate series will take the place of Tony Hawk, so I don't mind that too much. Sonic still has potential IMO. Mortal Kombat and Tomb Raider are series I've never played before. Guitar Hero, oh, they seem to be popular now, but they'll eventually run out of good songs anyway.

Nah, at that point they'll revamp the series into "Guitar Hero: Techno Remix".

I wouldn't like to have the Sonic series end. Even though his latest outings on the consoles haven't been very good, he's been shredding things up on the portable side of things. He's a very important character in gaming, and if his series were to end, I'd rather see it end on a good note; with an excellent game.

anyone who thinks that the skate franchise is better than the tony hawk franchise can go suck an egg.

skate 2 controls = clunky and laughably stubborn
thps controls = air tight, and streamlined for manageability

skate 2 level design = tried too hard to be realistic. outcome is environments with cluttered, unskateable areas, and empty areas. even the areas meant for skating are unplayable.
thps level design = semi-realistic environments with everything tweaked to be skateable, and help the player flow through the level

skate 2 story challenges = focused too hard on being realistic, and presents simple 1-trick, or 1-gap challenges, usually only made difficult by the stubborn controls
thps challenges - presents varied, over-the-top challenges (play thpg, theres a ton of variety) designed to challenge you, and keep things interesting

also skate 2 vert mechanics are HORRID.

i'll give the graphic team behind SKATE2 major props on the creat-a-skater clothing. that stuff was awesome - but skate is not the skating game jesus like everyone is making it out to be just because it uses a new control scheme. it's missing the fun factor which isn't missing in the thps games. yes i've played evry thps game since the pizza hut demo of thps 1. i dont see why everyone is hating on the franchise - i love it.

Its sad to see those great game series' on that list. Other than guitar hero the four are so easy to fix. Go back to the basics, take a look back at the orginal games, and listen to the fans. They've gone away from what they first were and thats why people arent buying the games. No one wants watered downed fatalities or to play around as some dumbass werehog. They want to rip peoples guts out, run around as fast as they can and collect rings and do insane tricks in crazy places.

Guitar Hero definitely should not be stopped being made. That has way better songs than RB. Copying songs from GH? Looks like a loss of ideas.

      Guitar Hero doesnt have AC/DC.

AC/DC > every band GH has.
