5. Being bias and hoping the 'controversy' brings traffic.
4. Stating the obvious.
3. Being arrogant.
2. Basing reviews on public opinion and/or hype.
And finally, the one relevant to this article;
1. Making lists of things that:
A.) Have been listed a million times
or
B.) No-one cares about.
2. I haven't played a Mortal Kombat since 3, so I can't really comment.
3. I'm sort of swithering on this one. Activision have said their going in a new direction with the next one, I say let them try and if it sucks or is as uninspired as recent titles then it should just die out.
4. Nop.
5. lolno. The recent Tomb Raiders have been good... very good in fact. It's just a shame that people can't get past the fact it sucked on the PS2.
Guitar Hero should stay kicking in my opinion. Why? Apart from the fact that I'm enjoying World Tour? Well, let's just say that being an Aussie, I don't appreciate still being unable to go to EB Games or GAME or even Gameplanet to actually buy the damn game called Rock Band 2. Seriously, my local GAME shop still has a whole pile of Rock Band + guitar boxes sitting in the middle of the shop as if it was brand new! North America has had RB2 on the 360 since September and Europe since November. Since it's still not here in March, and since we still don't even have a release date, I'm on board with GH. Boo Rockband! /rant over.
2. Mortal Kombat - no (still holding strong)
3. Tony Hawk - yes (too old and out-dated)
4. Guitar Hero - yes (lets face it, RB cleans up your mess and does what you try 10x better)
5. Tomb Raider - no (not as good as the PS1 days, but getting better with each new installment)
as for the others, Tonk Hawk i would say is the only one that just needs to die completely.
To me all Rock Band has over GH is more songs and more character customizing. GH has the better Fret system which means better game play. Sure GH failed with the drums but that doesn't matter much since they thought ahead and made the RB drums use able on World Tour. And so what if their making spin-offs at least their picking good bands to make spin offs about. I mean would you play a game called Guitar Hero : Michal Jackson......well somebody would but i'm not going that far into a rant.
The last 2 Mario's I played (Galaxy and NSMB) were excellent and I'm looking forward to their sequels.

Sonic... I'm still praying. They've *bleep*ed it up pretty nastily, but hopefully they'll get him back on track. Although I must say, with the upcoming Black Knight game, I presume it will just be fad after fad.
Guitar Hero... oh, please. Guitar Hero is an amazing game, just like Halo. The only issue about it is that some people would kill their friends and family, and their pets, to defend the game. In reality, the game is fun.
Tomb Raider... I have no experience with the game, so I can't say.
Mortal Kombat... sure, I won't miss it. Seems like it's really being milked out at this point, and I haven't had much fun with the series in general.
Mortal Kombat-sad to say I have never played any of these games, so I cant say
Tony Hawk-Ok, I can see this ending. Theres more than enough out there. Although I do like the games XD
Guitar Hero-I love guitar hero, but if they keep making them with lousy songs then yeah, they should. While I hate rock band, mostly because I hate the guitar controller, I cant get used to the weird strum bar, rock band 2 seemed to have slightly better songs on it that World tour. I dunno, but I only liked about 5 songs out of all the songs on Wourld tour. But then again, I only really listen to classic rock (70s metal and 80s hard rock/hair metal), and the majority of the stuff on there I havew no interest in. They should continue to do Single Band ones instead of making any new "variety" ones. Of course most people will disagree with me on that one
Tomb Raider-Again, no experience with this

D:
skate 2 controls = clunky and laughably stubborn
thps controls = air tight, and streamlined for manageability
skate 2 level design = tried too hard to be realistic. outcome is environments with cluttered, unskateable areas, and empty areas. even the areas meant for skating are unplayable.
thps level design = semi-realistic environments with everything tweaked to be skateable, and help the player flow through the level
skate 2 story challenges = focused too hard on being realistic, and presents simple 1-trick, or 1-gap challenges, usually only made difficult by the stubborn controls
thps challenges - presents varied, over-the-top challenges (play thpg, theres a ton of variety) designed to challenge you, and keep things interesting
also skate 2 vert mechanics are HORRID.
i'll give the graphic team behind SKATE2 major props on the creat-a-skater clothing. that stuff was awesome - but skate is not the skating game jesus like everyone is making it out to be just because it uses a new control scheme. it's missing the fun factor which isn't missing in the thps games. yes i've played evry thps game since the pizza hut demo of thps 1. i dont see why everyone is hating on the franchise - i love it.
AC/DC > every band GH has.
