New Challenger: 3 Reasons Why Gaming Will Destroy Itself Part 1

OXCGN unpacks Resident Evil 5's Collectors Edition and wonders, is it worth the extra $AU50 store owners are asking.
Games here are never cheap anyhow, but shelling out $AU169.95 for a game and a box . . well you be the judge, slip over, check the pics out and make your own mind up.
And yes, we have it already, the release date here was Thursday 12th March . .
I was so excited I practically skipped all the way home from my local game store, for today (Thursday March 12th) was RE Day (NB: Resident Evil 5s launch day - yes we have it now, on our 12th March, while it is still 11th/12th March in the US) and I had in my eager hands the Resident Evil 5 Uber (Collectors) Edition. As an avid fan I was very excited and proud to express my love for Resident Evil by forking out $AU169.95 which is an extra $AU50 on top of the already high $AU119.95 RRP for such AAA titles.
It had all the good stuff! A collectible tin case, a figurine and a few other bits and pieces such as a bag that I personally would never use, but I didnt care. I would stick that figurine up there with my Bioshock Big Daddy CE figure and my MGS4 Olive Drab Snake who are all of course overshadowed by Master Chiefs fat helmeted head.

I just compared the RE figure to the TRU figure and Lara's legs are bigger that Chris lol.
The bag with that was also a LOT better then the RE one.
Compared to the TRU SE, the RE5 one is a rip off.
The PS3, even at a reduced rate, kicks a hole in you wallet in at $AU700, yet you can nab a 360 with 2 games for $AU249 . . and then you look at the cost of Resi 5 CE at $170 (169.95) and you can see the issue.
