This week Gaming Dungeon's "Dear Developers" column looks at Pikmin 3 as it goes over some basic, and not so basic, concepts they'd like to see in Pikmin 3.

With the recent release of the New Play Control! Pikmin game, I figured this was a good time to write about it. I adore the Pikmin series, it’s a brilliant real time strategy game on a micro scale. Since we got official confirmation of a Pikmin 3 last year, we’ll hopefully see it land Christmas or next spring. What do I want in it? Well…

    Some, if not most of these ideas are really good.
    I especially like the storyline where it revolves around fuel.

    Very well thought out....however....ditch the pink pikmin.
    I don't know maybe a brown pikmin or something.

    doesn't need buildings, or any new pikmin colors (tho theyll probably add a couple anyway). the white ones are practically useless as it it. imo it just needs a tiny bit of good old nintendo innovation, and it'll be fine.

    Innovation by keeping it the same?

    More Pikimin types and larger and more complex world and puzzles, but that's a given.

    I think most of those ideas would work out real nice and I specifically like the idea (and look) of the two new suggested Pikmin. I don't see why having more then two new Pikmin would be a problem though.

    I also like your comment, Silver Mirror, on my more puzzle based gameplay.
