GamerDiscord looks at 5 multiplatform shooters that are receiving the most hype this year. They range from Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena to Wolfenstein. This looks to be an ongoing article series focusing on different genres.
So far, 2009 looks to be one of the most exciting seasons for multiplatform games. There’s a wide array of upcoming releases that should have any serious shooter fan excited. We can hardly wait for the following games to be released – and we’re pretty sure these games will live up to the hype.

Maybe it's because I've got tests left and right in school so I gotta study, or maybe because the game is a month old now...but I'm sorta over Killzone 2 now. Definitely looking for another shooter soon.
For PS3 I only have Killzone 2 and Resistance. The latter I got with my console, and the former I bought because I was genuinely interested in it. No other FPS on the way this year excites me - I don't 'get' the Bioshock hype, and Call Of Duty needs to work on the single-player aspect before I'll even consider it.
2. I would be surprised if Killzone 2 was FPS of the year. I reckon, COD6, Bioshock 2 and Dark Athena will all > it.
3. You don't deserve a PS3 if you don't care for Bioshock.
Or would you 'get' the hype if it was a PS3 exclusive?
