Blend Games compiles a top 5 list of things that they would like to see enhanced for Crackdown 2, including the melee, the multiplayer, the campaign mode and the AI and physics.

Anyone who played the original game knows that it offered tons of possibilities that just weren’t explored very well. Here at Blend Games, though, we’re quite forgiving of new IP (except for maybe Too Human) and we’re always looking forward to sequels offering enhanced gameplay and better, more immersive features. So without further ado, here’s a compilation of the top five things to make Crackdown 2 not suck.

Agreed, but the first one did not, in fact, suck.

The first one was awesome. The whole game was playable in 2 player, THE WHOLE GAME. Not just racing and building hopping.

More skills would be good. Although I disagree with the melee, the simplicity of walking up to someone and smacking them and watching them go flying was great, its not a fighting game, it focuses heavily on weaponry as well. More button mashing? Button mashing sucks imo. The simplicity of the combat system is what made it great.

Agreed. The game was fantastic, imo, bit too short, but good otherwise. The physics in Crackdown was enjoyable to say the least, liked it's style. Playing Co-Op made the game that much more kick-ass.

Access Code to Halo 4 beta

But in all seriousness, I didn't think it was that bad tbh. Just a bit of fine-tuning and a couple of tweaks.

Heres one: Making it just as good as the first.

Because I loved Crackdown. Far from a AAA title but there was so much fun to be had. Improvements to some of the gameplay mechanics would only strengthen the experience. I hope Crackdown 2 becomes a confirmed title.

Has this been confirmed though?... Last year we had the bombshell that Microsoft weren't going to fund the sequel so the project was scrapped.

No, it's not been confirmed. However, it hasn't been confirmed scrapped either.

Microsoft declined to publish the game, so all it needs a a publisher. I'm sure one will step up.
