i would imagine the xbox 360 has internal memory which the firmware is stored on - which probably isn't all too big. adding unnecessary things like a web browser takes up space that could be used for functions that are actually relevant to the purpose of the console = games.

Bandito if that was the case then why did they release The NXE dashboard? If anything is pointless and unnecessary it's the avatar system.
