Every year GDC has a rant session, and this year game critics hosted it with “Burned by Friendly Fire: Game Critics Rant”. Leigh Alexander(Gamasutra & Sexy Videogame Land), Heather Chaplin(Smartbomb), N’Gai Croal(formerly of Newsweek), Stephen Totilo(MTV Multiplayer Blog), and Adam Sessler(G4) were the speakers with a quick bit from Chris Hecker(Maxis). All of them big names who had some rather interesting things to say. There were some good criticisms, suggestions, and inflammatory quotes from this panel; as well as some confusing and not so good criticisms. It was one of the most interesting panels for gamers though.
