WHile the video is only relatively new, and looks rather intriguing, what OXCGN is doing is looking at how the game will tie in with Leonardo Da Vinci based on his real world exploits and work.

Perhaps others can ad to the dissection and uncover more information in The Da Vinci Code within the teaser . . . Share your thoughts and opinions.

The game is obviously set in Leonardo Da Vinci’s period (1452 - 1519) in Venice Italy. A fitting theme and location given the fact that Leonardo was excommunicated for his work on the human body and his various art works. During which a great deal of his work and plans were destroyed or hidden away to stop the church from destroying them.

His mind was light years ahead of anyone at the time, and still blows many concepts out of the water even in todays times. His work on the human body would fit in well with the drawings showing how the left arm was altered and how the muscles were worked into the “blade” and the elbow joint articulated more than normal to allow for easier assassinations.

This is an interesting way of presenting the new game. Laying in the games details into the older drawings of Da Vinci so that they look like they came from the master himself.

He was set upon for his work on the human body, which saw so much of his wonderful work destroyed. Who know what wonders he had unlocked that ended up as ashes in a fire, or as rubble in the street.

The section with the wings shows how they are integrated into the shoulder blade, and would fit in with the notion of the articulated elbows. As these were the limiting factors around his thoughts on humans flying. Their elbows limited them from full flexing and use, so as you can see in the arm drawings, the extension of the blade is moved by muscle action, not a trigger.

He also had a habit of writing backwards so his work couldn't be read by the layperson or even a well versed scholar, so there may be some hints in there as well, but it would take very good HD screen and a great vid ap to grab each screen images the analyze them properly

    What Does It All Mean?
That the devs don't think we're mature enough to deal with the penis on the Vitruvian Man?

heheh, that's a 'point' . . . I think that today they have to worry about ratings boards, whereas in those days with existing art, they didn't have to. Shame really.

I think that would be more the publishing side of Ubisoft than the development studio wings. Both of which run separately from each other. SO the Dev Studio (Montreal I think) would prob have no qualms doing it, the Publishing side has to worry about the legalities - again, sad fact of modern age rules.

Nice pick up though . .

Dem dere soccer moms at the ESRB feel that the penis on the Vitruvian man would corrupt the minds of their innocent nine year olds and turn them into Satan-worshipping perverts who will be rejected by Christ our savior in the afterlife. Down with Ubisoft! Adults Only rating!

Thing is, here in AUstralia, the highest rating our stupid system offers is MA15+, which they would attach to this anyway . . now that is double standards . . a 18+ game in the rest of the world, yet in Australia they attach a MA15+ pretending that our 15 yr olds are adults - - which they certainly are not.
