Call of Duty was a huge hit, and Killzone 2 had to out do it, in many way's. Most people were hoping for a bigger online component. Killzoneunit has written an article comparing the two games and how they fair out.

So! Killzone 2 came out. And needless to say, it was awesome. And while under construction, the world wondered if it could live up to the standard Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare set. And I decided to post this because on last week’s Helcast, Jam BK brought up an awesome point! But first, this is not a comparison. It may look a hellova lot like one, but it’s not! The points I bring up are just what I found interesting between these two games. Let me explain

First, my situation. A few months before Killzone 2 came out, I didn’t touch much besides a little Skate 2 (great game!). I was fasting, if you will. And so when Killzone 2 arrived, I played and played and played until I unlocked all of my classes, but like Jam BK said, I’m probably only 30% through the multiplayer ranks. In a nutshell, I have lots to do.

It was actually a really unbiased comparison.

When I first saw it, I was thinking "pfft. KZ2 is not > COD4. My head's going to hurt reading this."

Then I read it, and I agreed with all of his points.

Pretty weak if you ask me. Never seen anyone equate the best shooter of this generation to shitty fast food while claiming their preferred game is Olive Garden. Just a lame ass analogy that very few people are going to agree with.

I've played Killzone 2. Not that great.
But considering this is a Sony fanboys first taste of First Person Shooters, it's no wonder they're bricking it about it.

Of course Resistance 1 & 2 don't count at all

Yeah, they don't. It's a very average FPS.

the fact that this guy uses auto-aim renders his opinion on any FPS game ever totally invalid.

this read like one big killzone plug - while saying cod4 is okay and subtly asserting it's not as TOTALLY AWESOME ACTION PACKED ADRENALINE PUMPING THRILL RIDE I HAVE TO STOP AND TAKE A DEEP BREATH JUST TO EJECT THIS MOTHER*bleep*ER FROM THE DISK TRAY as killzone2.

My favorite part of this article is under the Story comparison and the last part says: "I think my only complaint is that Call of Duty 4’s campaign was unpleasantly short. And no vehicles!" So apparently a game has to have vehicles to have a good story. So I guess Bioshock sucks…

I don't see why there is any need to compare these two games, both are very good games.
