Two Classic Characters Return For Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Reunion

The Wii is slowing down in sales as the PS3 and XBOX360 are favored by more and more fans. Is the Wii fad finally fading away? Is this the beginning of the end?
The Wii is a fashion trinket, a fad that gets everyone excited and then promptly fades away. However, unlike every other fad worth its salt, the Wii refused to vanish into popular memory. The ugly, outdated and horrifically overpriced (especially where I live, it costs $370 here) console with possibly the worst gaming library in the history of videogaming will not die. The stupid thing was being bought all the time and there was a constant short-stock of it. I'm certain the Wii factory was operated by monkeys to make sure the supply would stay low and the price would stay high. Black Friday would turn into a bloodbath as people eviscerated each other to get hold of the Wii.

It's not a fad and certainly not a toy, there are several things going for it.
Some things I do agree there, while others I semi agree but feel less strongly about. Honestly the wii is a good console with several good games, it just had it's name tarnished by stupid publishers, Nintendo included.
But like I said before, wii hate is wii hate so no point in arguing.
As for the slow in sales, well it's about time the wii cooled down, but that doesn't mean the Xbox and PS3 won, it simply means that after, what 2 and a half almost 3 years the wii has been continuosly sold out.
And this isn't that much of a big deal anyways with the release of the DSi to cover it. Assuming its selling well.
That said though, before people start flaming, it's all a matter of opinion when it comes down to it. If you like the Wii in spite of it not being as technologically advanced, good for you.
The reality is that the niche gamers allowed their self-importance to reach a point where anything beyond their norm is unpossible to them.
PS.If you don't have the moolah then get out of your house and find a job buddy!
PSS. Dumbest/Useless article EVER...
Wii fanboys didn't post the Wii sales that were raping the competition for the past 2 years.
Case in point: People post articles for three reasons; to genuinely share articles they have found enjoyable or informative, to get people to go to their site or to boost their GG points, meaning anything game-related, needless hatred or not, is fair game.
As of late, it is Nintendo who the band-wagoning masses are hating on for site-traffic. Simply put; no point letting it annoy you or anything, it's just how these game news sites work. Hate on what is currently being hated. Welcome to the internet.
While its library can't compare to any other Nintendo console (and most handhelds) it definitely beats the PS3 hands down (LittleBig Planet and MGS4, then we get ironically toned-down multiplats). Although the quality/quantity of its titles compared to the 360 is debatable, it definitely has more variety.
The Game Cube remains my favorite platform though...
But really, what caused that sudden drop in my Tiger of Wu's respect stat?
As for the sudden drop, it was due to this; There are opinions, and if your opinion is that the Wii has a better library then, fair enough. However, to say that is just plain ignorant.
I now have less respect for you.
If you want me to name some Wii titles first I will!
So no, I'm not going to. There is no point, since you really don't care in the first place.
And yeah, I find the constant few stock of them to be quite annoying.
So I think that as soon as there's a price cut, Wii sales will be back to it's normal crazy levels.
Whether we like it or not the Wii isn't a fad is not going to disappear anytime soon.
There's also the fact whether you like it or not, Nintendo were willing to gamble with the control system. And said control system arguably makes several genres far better, the issue with the Wii in regards to that is the lack of more powerful software and developer support. Needless to say the games that do make good use of the controller are brilliant (Considering hardware limitations admittedly) and more and more solid titles are being developed for it.
And call me crazy but wasn't Nintendo's aim to make profit? And the Wii did that, heck if did far better than anyone expected it too, I doubt Nintendo realised just how big the Wii would become 'fad' or not. It did what it was meant to do, and damn well at that.
There's more content here than your average fanboy rant but ultimately it's still a rant.
