New Challenger: 3 Reasons Why Gaming Will Destroy Itself Part 1
19 hours 53 mins ago
With the release of what looks to be the first truely great Batman game right around the corner, I decided to do a little research to find out if this will be the definitive Batman experience. What I came up with did not leave me with much hope.
"Whoever was in charge of redesigning Batman should be fired immediatly. I mean seriously if you take off the cape and cowl he looks like Marcus

Oh, btw; From the beginning it has been said by Rocksteady that throughout the game Oracle will be your contact. The Otacon to your Solid Snake. GG.
In fact, in one of the story trailers The Joker even says that if Batman is reported to be seen in Arkham (he knows he'll be there, he's just making it harder for him) The Joker will blow up sections of Gotham.
"Joker here. I'm in control of Arkham Island, you can all consider it out of bounds. If I see any lawmen, vigilantes or do-gooders in tights coming this way, I'll start detonating random bombs around the city."
Tell me, have Rocksteady ever made a stealth game that was bad before? No. They've made a game that was meant to be mindless violent fun, which was mindless violent fun. The trailers and demo (in American Target stores and Gamestops, I believe) have shown that the gameplay here is looking top notch, so how about actually acknowledging it instead of making yourselves look ignorant.
Unless if there was some other point you were trying to make? (and no, the one about him looking like a space marine doesn't count because it's ridiculous)
Batman is wearing his suit; Don't see how you can even try to knock him for the outfit. If anything, its drawing more inspiration from the comics than recent films. Rocksteady has already gone on record saying they are taking some liberties with character apperances, but Batman isn't really one of them.
And Rocksteady is a bad choice for a developer because they dont have some legendary history to throw around in claiming they are the "bestest eva!"? The group has gone on record saying they have studied up on Batman very heavily, and from what we've seen with the addition of Dini and B:TAS voice actors, they are trying to make this the greatest Batman videogame ever. All gameplay footage shows Batman doing what he does best; Using his unmatched detective skills to track thugs, and then dishing out on them with his fists using his legendary hand-to-hand fighting ability.
It's okay to be skeptical, but to flat out rag on a game in such a fashion only makes the writer look bad. From what we've seen, B:AA is going to deliver like no other Batman game before it.
